Personal innovativeness is the ultimate 21st century capability, one that drives innovation and personal success in any setting, facing any challenge. It’s a critical–but often neglected–component of any innovation initiative.
This online certification consists of two three-hour Zoom sessions, and approximately four hours of additional work on your own.

Innovator Mindset® is a philosophy of innovation and a methodology for developing the personal capabilities that drive it. A highly flexible approach, it can be used to provide an overall framework for teaching innovation and entrepreneurship, or to seamlessly supplement tools and strategies like design thinking, creative problem solving and lean startup. Innovator Mindset also provides a foundation for coaching anyone to be more creative, resourceful, empathic, adaptive and personally effective. Someone more likely to find solutions and successfully meet challenges. Peer reviewed empirical research has found that an Innovator Mindset can dramatically improve innovation outcomes and new venture success.
The Innovator Mindset Assessment provides personalized feedback across the twelve dimensions of the Innovation Cycle. Available online on-demand, it takes about 15 minutes to complete. Students receive a detailed 20-page report that reveals their current mindset and what shifts they can make to become more innovative.
Mindset Trek Elearning is an online self-paced or instructor-directed curriculum that covers the key concepts of Innovator Mindset and incorporates the Innovator Mindset assessment. This frees up classroom or other program time for other interventions and activities that may include

Students who complete Mindset Trek receive a badge for mastering that content.

Certification Requirements
Participants need to:
- Attend both half-day online sessions (3 hours each)
- Complete Mindset Trek elearning and the Innovator Mindset Assessment
- Use the Innovator Mindset assessment with students or clients
Recipients will receive a certificate and a badge, as well as the badge students receive for completing Mindset Trek.
